Alex Rhodes is an outdoor instructor and naturalist who holds the Mountaineering & Climbing Instructor award, is a Winter Mountain Leader and a nature tour guide.

Summit Sense is a business which takes a different approach to learning outdoors; incorporating environmental learning into traditional outdoor leadership & instruction. Its philosophy enables the outdoor enthusiast to seek out new experiences for personal fulfilment, build self-confidence through achievements and develop skills towards technical competence.

Busy week running a @rawadventures residential and directing a @mtntraining Rock Skills Intermediate course as part of the week's itinerary. Managed to plan around the weather and only use the indoor wall card once on Thursday when it was a truly shocking day to be outside!

Thanks to @mountainindependence for joining Thurs/Fri, allowing us to go into more depth in smaller teams.

Did anyone else see the plague of St Mark's Flies this week?! Totally harmless but the air was full of them in Ogwen!

Narrowly avoided the splash down 😅 10+ DWS routes at Angler's Zawn followed by some steep circuits and links on Huslan.

Best comment of the day was a concerned onlooker thinking the white chalk marks across the wall were seagull poo & why was I wiping my hands in them the whole time 🤔

Back home to Eryri 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and straight into two days running around the hills working on @climbsouthwest's Paddy Buckley in 3.

Yesterday we were over Nantlle and today the Glyderau-Carneddau leg, feasting on billberries en route.

Have a nice sock line, thanks to forgetting to slap on suncream lower down my legs. Guess it shows how little I've put shorts on this summer to remember 🤭
